I had my 2012 toyota camry torque converter replaced due to shuddering trans at 40 mph. Since that work was done, my MPG dropped from 26.9 to 22.1...now when I let off the throttle, the trans (torque converter) pulls the car down to 20 mph or less compared to the way it was before they did the work...now the car is damaged and is getting 4-6 mpg less than before I brought it to them to replace the torque converter. I met with a very incompetent district rep today who said they rely on their dealerships to make the best diagnosis and that there is nothing TOYOTA can do to help fix the MPG problem that was caused by their replacing the torque converter. I am posting this to warn others who have purchased a new car from Wheeler toyota about Wheeler Toyota's apparent incompetence and refusal to even drive the car to see what the problem is..... I doubt I can even sell this car now getting only 21 mpg instead of 26.9 mpg. I am taking it to another toyota certified mechanic to have them look at this car. I have loved this Toyota Camry until they screwed up my car. The fact the made me wait weeks to see a District Rep who did not drive the car, did not even want to look at the invoices or help with finding the problem and fixing it, now will result in legal action to get them to fix what they screwed up. I hope whoever reads this, steers clear of WHEELER TOYOTA in grant pass. In my opinion they suck and do not stand behind their work......
