The owners of the Motel Duvernay advertised for 5 years under the Rooming and Boarding in the yellow pages. One would think that tenants would have rights under the Tenant/Landlord Act in Gatineau. Well, Boless Inc. and the Heafey Group do not believe in the Tenant Act. When long-term residents file a complaint about repairs, water leakage, flooding etc., these owners simply evict them. Apparently they are now facing Hearings with the Tenant/Landlord Board Commission in Gatineau.
