Extremely Rude and Unprofessional … and they have the wrong information!

During a background check, I was told that I had two accounts with Franklin Collections. Upon investigation I realized that the two accounts were with a medical lab which I did go to but when I first received an invoice from the lab (about 18 months prior to my call to Franklin Collections) I was told by the lab that my balance was $.00 and that my health insurance had paid the fees. A Franklin employee, Kay Green, told me that I owed a total of $631.55 on two accounts to the medical lab. When I told her that I had spoken with the lab a long time ago and they told me that I didn't have an outstanding balance, she told me that the charges were valid and that I needed to pay. I explained, again, why I did not have to pay and she told me that the charges were for labs done in my doctor's office that they sent out. My doctor's office doesn't do any labs in their office AT ALL! I always have to go to a separate lab for blood work, which I explained to her and she told me the same thing again! That the charges for a lab in my doctor's office, and she named the doctor. I tried to explain again that my doctor's office doesn't have a lab but she put me on hold and all I heard was music. When she came back on she said that I was talking over her ... SHE WAS TALKING OVER ME! I tried to again explain that these charges were not valid and she said that I still owed the money and what is my current address. To that I just hung up the phone. Ms Green was extremely rude and nasty and wouldn't listen to what I was saying. While I understand that they probably deal with a lot of deadbeats, this is no way to treat people who call you, unsolicited, to try to have their credit report corrected. She acted like this was my problem, that they couldn't have made the mistake!
