I take blame when it is due, but I have serious issues with this whole toll by plate that is now being forced upon us. I was never sent an invoice from a trip in June of 2020 as well as a trip in August 2020. COVID did not allow me to pay cash as I normally do. All I kept seeing on the sign was keep moving we will bill you. I received no invoice nor did I receive an email or phone call. I went on another trip in October of 2020 and once again used toll by plate. Finally, in November I received a letter with an invoice and account number. I was late on this payment and now received a past due for that October trip. Rightfully so I did not pay in the allotted time. This I can understand. I finally sign in to pay my bill and see the other invoices which were now way past due and in the collection process. The only way I was able to sign in was with my account number and my invoice number. How can you expect someone to pay a bill if they do not receive the correct information to even pay the bill? The only way you can sign in to the program is with an invoice number and account number. Sure, I will take the past due late fee for November totally understandable, but how are you going to charge me a past due, late fee, and collection fee on an invoice I never received. I need the invoice to pay the bill. That to me is a 100% failure on the shoulders of the PA turnpike and their whole toll by plate operation. User's recommendation: Give up your rights of free travel and allow the State to force you to buy EASY PASS.
