I am a very disappointed customer, who purchased Pentair top of the line very expensive pool heater which broke down after 15 months of use. We have purchased it from their authorized pool company which had a 2 year warranty. We have used their competitor's pool heater for over 5 years which never had any issues and is still working after 8 years in our old house. We maintain our pool very well, do weekly checks of chemicals at pool stores and twice weekly tests at home. We use pool maintenance companies during the summer months, and do the maintenance ourselves during winter. This is not our first pool or pool heater, but this is the first one that is a very expensive piece of junk. We have several rental houses, and none had issues with their pool heaters (which are NOT Pentair!!!!) I will never buy anything from Pentair again, and I am making sure everyone else gets warned about their expensive junk products. I will also formally send them letters detailing how bad the quality is and how worthless the supposed warranty is. I have warned our pool company that they recommended this junk to us and sold it to us with 2 year warranty. This is a pool, it has chemicals, why use materials that cannot stand the chemicals in the heater? I now see they have 'upgraded' models which is made of materials that can stand the chemicals. I thought ours was one. I am extremely disappointed and angry at a reputable company not standing behind their products. I will never use any of their products again, and I will make sure nobody I know or can reach online does. Shame on Pentair...
