Estimated readings and nyseg fighting deregulation

1

The last 12 months my kwh has averaged 1205 . I switched to a third party provider that had a cheaper rate for electric . On 2/23 I received my first bill that was switched over and nyseg's estimate on 2/13 was 4,782kwh . On the 23rd I read the meter 10 days after their estimate and I had used 2,019kwh. I called them and told them their estimate was way off and gave them the meter reading and they told me that the third party provider does their own meter readings which is a complete lie. Bottom line is, they wouldn't fix it and they are trying to bully me into switching back to them to pay more for electric. This should be illegal for nyseg to use meter estimations to fight deregulation and I really hope the attorney general is looking into their underhanded business practices.
