I have 2 Briggs 35 hp engines that both had the same problem and the engine failed I was told by the dealer they were great engines come to find out they are junk compared to Kawasaki I changed the oil every 50 hrs because they burned so much oil had problems with the governor going out of adjustment I bought scags from the same dealer for over 20 yrs and they should know when an engine is garbage needless to say I know you dont build the engines but you should let people know what the best engines is even if its a little more expensive in the long run its going to cost me 3000.00 each to replace these pieces of scrap metal the mowers after 4 years are not even worth that much so long short of it after over 20 yrs with SCAG time for a change
