Email from CEO
I find it appalling that I received an email where a company I am involved with is pandering to a specific group. Why did you find it necessary to apologize for something you had nothing to do with. So you are going to fix this? Does that entail letting your present employees go and going out to specifically hire blacks? That is the most racist thing I have ever heard anyone say. You feel bad because none of your higher ups are black? Maybe you hired people who were qualified instead of by their color. Maybe you should try to help some of the business owners who have lost their entire savings and how they feed their families. And, just maybe part of your sympathy should be directed toward the police officers who have been killed or hurt for just doing their jobs and their families. Yes, what happened to George Floyd should not have happened, but you need to get a grip and stop blubbering like you were the perpetrator. Your email should have said, Our condolences go out to Mr. Floyd and his family. Hopefully, we can all work together and find ways to keep this from happening in the future. That seems more like what a CEO of a company would have sent to customers.
