Elite member left stranded, no customer service.

I am an Elite member who rents from this location almost exclusively. Service in general has been hit and miss depending on who is workong the desk. Not usually bad. But today I showed up for an 8am rental. i had to het a ride to the airport who dropped me and left. I was told at the Rental counter, where 3 people were present and no customers other than me, that they have no cars and I should have gotten a phone call. They wont have cars for at least 4 more hours. Initially that was it. Nothing else. I told them I was stranded without a ride and had to be somewhere in 6 hours. One person then made a call to regional who confirmed no cars for several hours. I was told I could wait if I wanted. 4 hours minimum. No other suggestions. There are 3 other car companies next to them. No offer to work with them or any pre work of asking if any of them had cars and could help out. Nothing. No offer of a ride, I had to ask, even though I told them I was stranded. After asking they gave me a ride in what was obviously a National Rental car ironically. The lack of empathy and the lack of any offer to help and obviously the regional office was aware of the issue as well, is astounding for any customer and I am supposed to be an”elite” customer. This was bigger than the desk staff. They should have a corp plan on what happens if they don't have a car. I also validated they had two correct phone numbers for me both with voicemail and no phone calls.
