Electrolux means junk
2
We purchased all Electrolux appliances in 2011 during a kitchen remodel. They were sold to us as luxury products. Our ice maker was a problem from the beginning. It was replaced twice. One repairman showed my husband how to defrost it with a hair dryer. The refrigerator was eventually replaced. It now has a rust streak down the back. Our induction stove stopped working after the second time we used the self cleaning feature. The repairman said he would have to replace two boards since he could not determine which was faulty-$700.00. He also said he could not say how long they would last. We got the distinct impression he was trying to tell us it was not worth it. We replaced the stove. Our dishwasher has never cleaned well. If there is milk in a cup, it will be there at the end of the cycle. When we unload the dishwasher, we put up what we can and then wash the dishes that are still soiled. We are now looking at new dishwashers. The dishwasher we replaced was a contractor grade that had broken. My husband had removed one of the arms and it still cleaned better! The microwave is OK. At a home show, I talked to the owner of the dealer where we bought the appliances. He said, "We have to carry contractor grade." The customer service is terrible. I do not understand how they are still in business.
