Edward Jones – Investment Service Review
I had an employer who told me many good things about investing with EJ. After 14 months of dumping a small percentage of what I made every paycheck, it totaled to about $1350 of "invested money". After receiving the first annual report of what had been traded/"earned" I was advised that I had about $7 in total to cash out on. So over the course of 14 months I basically threw 13 and a half $100 bills in to a bucket and lit it on fire to turn them into 28 quarters. How magical. After a few years passed I learned that this employer never invested a dime with EJ at all... ever. The "agent" investing my money was his best friend who simply worked for EJ. User's recommendation: If someone implores you to invest, peacefully tell them off. But if you are looking to throw your money into the wind I would suggest you do all the legwork yourself. Do NOT use companies like Edward Jones. Become your own Broker and be informed through your own discipline, not just some undereducated man in a suit.
