I've been a customer and seller on eBay for 9 months. Recently I found that some items I'd browsed on eBay they secretly placed an automatic bid on browsed items and threatened me if I did not pay for them. There was no bid from me or any contract to pay. A lot of problems arise when eBay assume customers are not aware of the law or their rights and proceed to bully and threatened them.Ive had eBay call me at home and tell me they will refuse to erase my data or close my my account at my request unless I pay for goods taware I've not bid for or put in my cart ! Or stopped bidding for! I advised them I would not be threatened or intimidated and they threw all their toys out of their pram and they blocked all my bank cards with eBay and pay Pal and refused to close my account and delete data unless I handed over a cash payment of £34 once I'd done this they would consider following the data protection laws ! They had me on the phone and chat for 11 hours and put the phone down on me refusing to close account and refused to accept my account was hacked ( I have a heart condition and several health issues and they took no note and applied the stress to get me to hand over my cash!) Myy account remains open for the hacker to do as they please and eBay feel this does not violate (1) Their own policies (2,) Dies not violate and data protection laws (3( Dies not violate an individual's personal freedom to choose . They also advised me from time to time they cap customers spending about if they feel a customer spends to much of their pay packet on items they would like to own.! According to them I've spent over £80, in four weeks and they do not agree with how I spend my money so placed a cap on my spending allowing me to only buy two items a month or less! Who the *** do they think they are! They also informed me I would not be able to receive payments for any goods I'd sold because they said so!, Since they control my pay Pal account now and bank info it's eBay UK who would get the proceeds from sake of my goods! Does this sound like extortion and fraud!, If you experience any crap from eBay don't argue with them! Report them immediately to the i.c.o action fraud UK....and or report them to the live if they think threaten you as and only agree to close your account and delete your info if you hand over cash to them! This is a crime and because they hide over the phone or behind computer they feel it's acceptable to commit illegal acts! Report them! I have and I'm also submitting audio recordings and screen shots of their behavior and their employees up to no good!!! User's recommendation: Do not ship with eBay!!!
