We stayed 12/31/07-1/02/08. I booked through venere.com. When we checked in the clerk pulled up my name & saw that I had booked through the web-site she asked the other clerk what she needed to do. The clerk answered. I showed her my credit card but asked if I could pay with cash. She said yes & then asked the other clerk how to put that in the computer. She told me my total was $98.??. I showed her my e-mail confirmation because it said the total would be $288 w/o taxes. I wanted to make sure she had us down for two nights & two beds. She checked & said everything is right the rates had just changed. I gave her $100 & she gave me my change & I gave her $20 for the parking pass(she said I had to pay for it separate) & she gave me back change. When we got to the room it was only a single bed. We didn't complain. I had already witness one family walkout & two other people complaining about their room only having one bed. So we decided we could live with just one bed. 1/22/08 I got my credit card bill in the mail & the hotel billed my card $297.39 on 1/04/08. I called the hotel & the operator couldn't help me & that I needed to call the next day & speak with her manager. So I did. She pulled up my information & said that it shows that I only paid one cash payment for the parking pass. I told her that wasn't right & also that my credit card said my arrival date was 12/31 & check-out was 1/03 which was wrong our check-out was 1/02 I have my confirmation still. She couldn't explain to me why my statement said 1/03 or why my transaction went through on 1/04. She told me I needed to speak with her manager but he wasn't there. She got my name & number & said he would call when he arrived. He didn’t so I called back & she said that she forgot that he was off but that he would call me the next day. He never called & I am tired of getting the run around. I want my credit card credited $297.39. I would not go through all of this trouble if I were lying. I am beyond the point of being aggravated. The hotel was nasty and it smelled like mold. Their web-site says it was renovated in 2007. Yeah the lobby looks amazing but once you get pass that it is crappy. They have poor professionalism skills and no one in that hotel can help you when it comes to a complaint. Maybe if the clerks hadn't been standing behind the counter talking about they can't wait to get off work and go party for New Year's the girl might have put my information in correct.
