DON’T MAKE COMPLAINTS IN WETHERSPOONS PUBS – YOU’LL GET BARRED
I visited The Bulls Head in Walkden, Manchester. When our meals arrived one wasn't as advertised on the menu. I complained to the waitress who was extremely rude saying "I don't have to put up with this". I then asked to speak to the manager. He came to our table and when I told him that the waitresses attitude had spoiled our meals he said "I'll sort that out for you" and took our meals away. He was extremely rude and abusive. I then contacted Head Office and spoke to a customer services advisor who seemed mortified at the treatment we had received and said she would pass the matter to the pub's area manager. A couple of weeks later I received a letter from JD Wetherspoon plc saying that I was barred from the pub and that they would not enter into further correspondence. I then contacted the CEO John Hutson by email. He did not reply personally but after a reminder I received an email from Julieann Carroll who was looking into the matter. I then received a further email from her saying that they would not be dealing with the matter any further forward and would not enter into any further correspondence. It seems to me that JD Wetherspoon PLC condone rude and abusive staff and I would advise anyone that if you choose to visit one of their outlets then don't make any complaints
