I don't normally put things like this on facebook but I think people need to know before they make the same mistake we did. The main water pipe busted and my basement flooded. We figured we needed to call a professional in to fix it so we called Rotor Rooter. There was a total of 6 people that came into my house to fix that pipe. My house was built in 1940 and the main pipe was cast iron. The first to come in was 2 men to do what they called clean out to get rid of any hazardous gases since the basement started flooding. Their idea of cleaning out was to put everything into the sump that we turned off. They were suppose to clean out the sump pump and did not do it. Once they did that they left machines in my basement that cost $1,000.00 a day to run and said they needed to keep running for 3 - 5 days. Insurance said they would only pay for 48 hours so we had to have those machines turned off after 2 days. Then they sent another man in to test the humidity in the basement. Another man came in saying he was the plumber. He replaced the pipe but he left all the metal that we had specifically said we thought was in there (we were right.) So once they claimed to be all done we were informed we still could not use our bathroom until we had yet another person come in to clean the metal out of the drain. Which is what was suppose to be done in the first place. So when Rotor Rooter was done the job was not finished. We had to continue to go to my moms for showers and to use the restroom. Never again will I call Rotor Rooter for my plumbing needs. We were up over $2,200.00 and that was out of pocket that insurance did not pay. And Rotor Rooter was still trying to get us to pay more. They started on Saturday morning and ended yesterday. We rented an eel and Bryan finished the job today that Rotor Rooter was suppose to do.
