I have two Magellan RoadMate units one is 2230T-LM and the other is a 9212T-LM. These units must be updated using the SmartGPS ECO site. As far as I'm concerned there's nothing smart about this site, it knows my 2230T needs a map update it even let me download it as if my unit was not connected, than after it downloaded it, it keeps telling me to connect my device. No matter what I do it never connects my device. At the bottom left of the screen it always says No device detected. On both units the screen tells me usb connected follow instructions on PC to update. Yet still No device detected.
