DO NOT WORK WITH THEM

In March of 2018, we entered into an Equipment financing agreement with Balboa Capital with Tye Malcolm as the Sales Manager/Rep. He was persistent and after about 50 phone calls (even to my personal cell phone all the while using different phone numbers in order for me to answer the calls-SHADY) we finally decided that it would be time to enter into an agreement since the deals kept sounding better and better. The draw to sign the agreement was a promised very low interest rate along with the quickness in getting the deal done. The agreement stated 12 months of payments at a $ value (that was discussed in length) with 2 checks due upfront for the equivalent of 2 monthly payments which were to be used for the last 2 months of the term. I expected fees equal to 1% of BLA which was stated on the lease. What I did not expect was to have 14 months of payments taken from my bank account with only 1 refunded at the end of the term (only after calling them out on it) and not 2 checks. After sending emails back and forth for over a month to try to resolve the issue, and being told they reviewed the information per the agreement, they told me they closed the account and basically goodbye. I called Venecia B. Vega, the Customer Service Manager on the account, who proceeded to sarcastically tell me to "read Section 2 of the agreement" which clearly (NOT CLEARLY) pointed out that they were within their rights to charge me a "prorated rent." I asked her to explain this section and she said "what don't you understand, we just read it." She continued to comment sarcastically during the conversation and was the complete opposite of helpful. I've never been so rudely talked to by anyone in customer service in my life and she continued to refuse to help me understand the language which was not adequately explained to me by Tye during the negotiations of the contract lease. To summarize, I will never do business with these guys again, and hope no one ever does based on the comments I've read. I hope everyone understands I won't do business with them purely because of the shady dealings I've experienced from start to finish with this company.
