DO NOT USE!!
In the beginning, I felt that the customer service rep, Jared, allowed me to believe that I was speaking to a representative from United Movers. I needed to relocate my household items from Colorado to Florida. Follow-up on their part was pretty flawless up until my brother put down a deposit. Then the entire staff at this "broker" company disappeared. They no longer returned phone calls, ignored emails and no-showed on a scheduled pick up. They did not even bother to call. I found out from my friend who had to sit there waiting on that truck for two days and could not move her own items. When I finally got someone to respond, they scheduled another pick up and again, they no-showed. The next day, they wanted an additional $350.00 because they claimed that the truck would not fit and they had to send a shuttle. The dispatch person, "Daryl" actually said he could care less what I decided because he already got paid. Then the moving company that they had contracted, Virgin Movers and Storage out of California talked me into firing the broker company and hire them outright. This company picked up my items and then lost them for over two weeks - this was the only thing I could think of that happened as the contact person had no idea where my stuff was. Then, he, "David" quit calling me back. It was over a week, I was frantic, before I heard back from him. He had had an accident and instead of having someone else contact me, he simply ignored my calls. When he finally sent me the cost breakdown, he had doubled what the original invoice was. I contacted him immediately and he agreed to come down on the price. It was still too high so he had to come doan again as I reminded him that he said he would not charge me more than the broker company had. Over two months later, I finally received my items. Some items had been shattered and nothing was packed correctly. Now he refuses to send me claim forms and said he was not responsible for the damage. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!
