We purchased a trip and trip insurance through Aon in February of this year. In March, I began experiencing some strange headaches and other neurologic symptoms and went to see my PCP at the end of March. He referred me to Cleveland Clinic. I saw a neurologist in Cleveland in May 2019, and he ordered an MRI scan which was completed in June 2019. We were hoping to be able to go on our vacation in August of 2019 but canceled June 18 as my symptoms continued and the neurologist did not yet have a diagnosis. We filed paperwork for the PCP in order to be reimbursed for the trip. Aon rejected our claim for reimbursement stating that I had a pre-existing condition and they will not reimburse the almost $2,000 dollars of insurance that we took out in good faith. I will never purchase any type of insurance with this company again. If I could rate this company less than a 1, I would do so. If this particular situation does not warrant reimbursement, I'm not sure exactly what does. Don't use this company- they will keep your money regardless of the evidence you provide.
