DL Issues

My license has been suspended for an unpaid parking ticket in 2017 I believe. GC services has said that I can pay $419.00 and they will lift the hold off of my license within 5 days and I have to continue making payments until my ticket is paid in full. I guess I want to understand the validity of this. Will they release the hold once I make the initial payment? Has anyone else dealt with GC services on a D.L reinstatement?
