Dissapointed! No Longer Treated Like a Customer

First, it's fair to say that my dilemma started with me at fault. I ran into a few financial difficulties and made the necessary payment arrangements with gng, which they respectfully accepted. I then received a new bill I did not pay on time and it wasn't until later, after being out of town for some time, that I noticed a letter I received from them telling me the bill was due two days prior to my reading the letter. I called and told them I'm sorry I overlooked the bill, but I was told I was already disconnected permanently, but if I would pay in full, I would simply be re-signed up with new billing account no. So, I did just that, paid bill plus all fees, etc. I was put on hold and when rep returned I was told that I could only be re-signed up on a prepaid basis and that an additional $87, would be required before service could even get started. Although I don't have much of an argument since I did not keep with proper payment due date, I've been a customer of theirs for over 5 years with very few incidences. I would have thought I would have been treated a little better than that due to my loyalty no matter how their rates changed. But, have a difficult year, miss a few payments, you're just like an 'untrusted' stranger to them.
