I have a small business in WI and reached out to Sunbelt to assist me with the sale of my business. I spoke to the local representative over the phone and then provided our financials to him. We set up a meeting time at a local coffee shop. I invited him to meet at our business to see what we do and he said that he didn't need to. Then an hour before our meeting he called and said basically we are too small and not "very" profitable and no bank would give anyone a loan for our business. Last time I looked there are still cash buyers. So, my complaint is that this broker obviously does not want to work very hard to sell a business unless it is extremely profitable. I get that but don't waste my time. Be honest and upfront. This broker is a representative of Sunbelt. I will not use them when I sell my other businesses.
