We bought a home and had it inspected. We were told the house had foundation problems. The owner paid for this. The foundation people could not do the work for 4 weeks as they were booked. The foundation needed 7 piers. When they fixed the foundation they needed to come in and put foam in certain areas. Then the man who was doing the job said he could not because the ducts for the down flow of air were rusted and collapsing. If he put the foam in it, it would block the air flow. The only choice we had was to put ducts and a new furnace and coil in the attic and new vents had to be cut and installed in the ceiling. We got some estimates and went with the best one. This cost us $9,828.99. When I called the realty agent, Carol Panky Davis, she said for 800.00 we could have had the ducts checked specifically for these ducts. We had an inspector that had marked he checked the ducts, and he saw air flow. We assumed that he checked the ducts in the floor also, but found out later he didn't. I asked why we were not informed of this until after the fact. Our realtor said she was SORRY. I said I was too. She admitted that from now on that the realtors should suggest having the ducts checked. Too Little Too late. I called Keller Williams office to give them my complaint. DS Beach called, and asked me to e-mail him telling him everything. I did and after that he sent an e-mail back and said after talking to his agent he felt she did everything she was supposed to do. I do not feel that telling us to have the special inspection done after the fact is something she have told us up front. I am 77 and my wife is 72 we are retired. This has really hurt us to have to take the $9828.99 out of our hard- earned savings. I really feel like Keller Williams motto is just, Sell a house. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau. User's recommendation: I would not recommend Keller Williams as they don't feel they need to help out the buyer with any problems it may have.
