Devaluation of rewards for grocery store purchases

Without any notice that I have been able to find, the value of Starbuck rewards for a package of 12 oz coffee was cut in half (from 10 to 5 stars). While they award 2 stars for every $1 of in-store purchases, they now apparently award less than 1 star for every grocery...
