Destroyed our vehicle, would not reimburse $540

I didnt want to write this review because Ive known the owner, Robbie, 20+ years and hes always done my windshield work, but when he opened a garage I took my van to him because it was making a small noise. I thought maybe it was the timing belt. He said he thought it was the timing belt. They told me they changed the belt and it was ready, but it was running a little rough and I might get 10,000 or maybe no more miles out of it. I couldnt even drive it off the lot. It was after hours, I called him the next day and and he said yea, when we put the new belt on, it tightened up everything and thats why it wouldnt run. I said I think you have the belt on wrong because it was driving fine on way there and now we cant even drive it. He said hes sorry it didnt come out the way I wanted it to, they put a new valve belt on, tightened everything up and that made the valves run funny. I had it towed to another man that has been a mechanic about 60 years. He put his machine on it and immediately it said that the belt was on the wrong, it was a couple of teeth off in the back and one tooth off in the front. By them driving it, even from the garage door out to the parking lot, they destroyed the motor because when the belt is on wrong, it messes up the valves and destroyed the motor. Every mechanic that we called said they definitely put the belt on wrong and that if its not on right, it will destroy the motor. I called him and told him that. He said his mechanic said it was on right and Im sorry it didnt turn out the way you wanted it to. He did not offer me any money back, which was $540, down the drain. We had to put a new motor in it. He wouldnt even discuss giving my money back. I just want people to know - dont take your vehicle there. They can put in a windshield, but they dont know how to work on a vehicle. I wouldnt take my vehicle to them because it thats all he would do for a friend, imagine what he would do for someone he doesnt know. User's recommendation: Do not use them for auto repair, they don’t know what they are doing.
