dell scam

Having a Dell computer with problems we googled "Dell Tech Assistance" and this website came up. We called the number shown thinking this was Dell. We were NEVER told that this was a company other than Dell. The person spoke horrible English and was very hard to understand. He told me I would have to pay first $139.95 for a tech visit than $250 and that it would be several days before a tech would be able to visit. After we hung up I realized that our Dell contract had 24 hour service. I again called Dell at a different number. They had no record of the previous call. Dell immediately dispatched a repair tech. Today another tech (from iyogi) called and was going to come. When I refused he apparently contacted iyogi who called me. They were very rude and argumentative, insisting that their tech should visit our business. I became quite vocal and demanded a refund. This was apparently not their usual way of dealing with customers and this person kept insisting that I had approved the charge. I insisted that due to the fact that his English was so poor I had no idea what I had approved and still thought I was dealing with Dell. Finally I was put through to customer service. Again they did not want to refund my money. After a loud, vocal, threatening conversation, I was told that it would be refunded. Dell should be warned that these people are posing as their representatives.
