Update by user Mar 24, 2020 I just got off the phone with 2 of your service reps who called me back regarding my faulty Della ice maker.Steven asked all these questions of what kind of water I used and I told him that I use bottled water as that is what is indicated on your instructions, he then went on and on, continually asking if it was pressurized water or something over and over again, trying to trip me up (as he mentioned to the Supervisor). I kept repeating that I only used bottled water, never tap…then he asked about city water, and I told him we had well water which we never used for our ice maker! He kept using fake terminlogy, asking if I used….water…or…water. I did not know what he was talking about! Then I continued to answer all of his other fishing questions.He finally said he was transferring me to a Supervisor, where WE overheard their ENTIRE conversation. He told her that I could not hear his conversation which I obviously did . ( He didn't even have the intelligence to loop me out of his private conversation)!!!He told her how he tried to trick me by asking if I used a certain type of water which he said doesn’t exist, and that ‘the *** was trying to get over on them. The Supervisor finally said: “I’ll deal with this asshole”REALLY, this is how your customer service operates???? This all occurred this evening, and I have dealt with nothing else.I told her that I was recording the conversation on my cell phone, and she said”I don’t believe you sir, play it back to me…which I refused”. For what purpose?? Of course I was FURIOUS after overhearing their disgusting conversation, and had a few expletives of my own. I continually asked her if she was going to resolve the situation, inquiring as to why it wasn’t covered on the manufacturer’s one year warranty.I never got one direct answer the entire conversation, or any reason why they would not process a refund or an exchange.She then went on with some homophobic slurs…”Who is the top or bottom in your relationship!”I will be speaking with a human rights lawyer, and am filing a “homophobic hate incident” against your company. As I mentioned, the conversation was also overheard by a 3rd party at my residence. He will be signing a notarized affidavit to that effect. In this day and age, I cannot believe that your customer service representatives speak to your customers in this disgusting/vial/hateful manner.IThe POLICE will also be notified of this HATE CRIME which will then be filed in court by a Human’s Right Lawyerfor further prosecution against Della and your vial, unprofessional, ignorant, hateful work staff, and you will be subpoened accordingly for your phone records.Of course The BBB and OVERSTOCK will also be notified. I will have proof of receipt of this email, in case your representatives decide to delete it, and not forward to the appropriate person in charge.In complete disgust, I remain, Update by user Mar 24, 2020 It is absolutely impossible to reach this company by phone or email. Always get a busy signal when I call customer service, and the emails that I have found do not work either. BEWARE of purchasing their ice makers Original review posted by user Mar 24, 2020 Dear Della: I bought a Della ice maker on March 28, 2019 through Overstock. com I starting having some issues with the ice maker where it would stop working for a day or two then start working again. The ice maker stopped working completely about 2 weeks ago and has a smell like the motor is burnt out when plugging it back in. Overstock has advised me to contact you directly as they said that Della offers a 1 year warranty on your items for repairs or replacements.
