Defective 3-way GE bulbs

I purchased 2 - 2 packs of GE 3-way 50;100;150w bulbs. The first bulb I tried to use wouldn't work at all. The inside of the bulb looks "scratched" with black lines running through it. The second bulk was okay, but I am hoping the second pack won't be defective. These bulbs were made in Hungary! The PC: 35695 9****717 Desc: 50/150/NF-WT2. UPC 43 168 9**** I am hoping the one bad bulb was a fluke. They are too expensive to waste.
