Deceptive Practices and Unprofessional Manager

Purchased a power recliner on November 9, 2018 as a Christmas gift for my father. I was assured by the sales person it would be in before Christmas and they would call to arrange delivery. A week before Christmas I called the store and was told by the sales person it would be here in time for Christmas but the shioment would arrive in Toronto the week of Christmas and should be available the following week. I went online to print a picture of the chair to put in a card for my dad and saw the chair was on sale for 299.00 with delivery starting December 20th. I called the store and spoke with the saleperson and he just made excuses like the flyers are made up to a year in advance. Even if this is true, a disclaimer should of been on the website. I also questioned why they were continuing to sell a recliner when they could not even fulfull the orders they had. No answer just more excuses. A friend who works at Leons checked and there is no stock in Canada and the recliners would not be in for another 4 to six weeks. The now appear un another flyer noting delivery starts after Jan 4. I went to the store on Dec 29 to discuss the issue. I spke with a very nice person at the front desk and she asked if I would like to speak with a manager. The manager, Jackie I believe, was condescending and full of excuses just like the salesperson. She never explained what was the cause of the delay. Just excuse after excuse. She could really use a course in customer relations. I said to cancel my order, she spoke to another girl and then walked a way and said Hace a nice day. Will never buy anything from them again and will encourage others to boycott Leons, especially the London On store.
