Deceptive Advertising, POOR Response from Customer Care

1

Was sent a "Birthday Reward" via email. Attempted to order a jacket online only to find the Reward was not valid. I called customer care and dealt with a person was literally falling asleep while I tried to explain. He then became coherent enough to tell me that my Reward was not a reward but a coupon that was not valid. I again told him that it was a Birthday Reward sent to me from the Rewards program department. He then advised that that was only a "tactic". I felt deceived, and upset, but moreover stunned by the disinterest of the obviously bored customer rep. I heard the company has new ownership. Maybe this is the new standard of service. This was a real Birthday scam! User's recommendation: Beware of email promos or rewards... also beware of customer NO-service.
