I became a member of the online dating site Sugar Daddy 4 me. I found the site entertaining and had no problem helping some younger ladies with small financial gifts to make there lives a little better. I did get approached by a very attractive young lady who said she was in London. She expressed what seemed like a sincere interest in my life and eventually asked if I could fund her travel costs to visit. I did so as it was not a large expense. It was when she said she needed additional funds for an immigration mandated travel allowance that I became concerned. I searched the US Embassy website and found that no such allowance was required. At this point I hired a private investigator in London and found that everything she had told me was inaccurate. Her IP address was based in Nigeria, her cell phone did not ring in the UK, Incorrect address and birth information etc. My complaint is with the dating site because after they were given this information, they did nothing! They did not remove her profile which makes me feel they are complicit or condone this sort of action. My advice…If it’s to good to be true, it is. Sure this sort of thing is risky business. One needs to use caution. Dater Beware!
