As a former Dartcor employee, I can honestly say that leaving the company was the best decision I made. 1st, they wouldn't let me give 2 weeks to my previous employer when they hired me. When I said I'd like to give notice, I was asked, "do you even want this job?" They weren't even happy about me finishing off my last week at my previous employer, but bit the bullet, and "allowed" me to. Then I was told I'd be hired at $32,000, they started me at $28,000. When brought to their attention, I was told, "we never said we'd pay you that." They give their chef/managers an unreasonable budget to work with, and become bery aggravated when money needs to be spent. Their managers are expected to use EVERYTHING even if it's out of date. Hourly employees must wait 5 years to get a week vacation. There are NO raises, and the health care benefits offered are so expensive, and yet they still won't meet the demands of the average consumer. The company is a revolving door of new employees, because the pay isn't worth the work/stress/headaches. With the exception of 1 regional manager and a few account managers, the company isn't worth applying to. Sodexo, Aramark and Compass Group will give better pay rates, better benefits at a better cost and the standard 1 year for a week vacation
