Damaged sectional with no assistance from local store

I work Offshore, purchased a sectional without wedge. Manager said wedge would be in in two weeks. 4 weeks later it come in. Putting furniture stoppers on realized that there are years on sectional. Took pictures bought to manager, said he would order another one but asked why it took weeks before saying something. I told him my wife is in wheelchair and couldn't see it. The manager said to lie and tell protection plan rep it was an accident. We told him we would tell the truth instead and he was ugly to my wife saying he don't know if we did it. That is why I called you.
