Our move from Gauteng to the Western Cape was contracted to the above company and at first during the negotiations phase, the company was very friendly and efficient. Jody assured me that he was lower than most companies and that they do good work. On the day of the move, 29 February 2012 the troubles started. I spoke with the supervisor (Jack) and asked him along with his team to please look after our furniture, the boxes as we had a lot of crystal and sentimental items built up over the years when packing them into the truck. He assured me that he had the best guys and I need not worry. A long story shortened, as we had two households, it was packed to the brim in the truck, and was charged an extra R5800 to carry the overflow of volumeon another truck which was not correctly accounted in the initial stages. No problem with that as I did misjudge when doing the inventory. Boy, did they manage to DAMAGE our furniture good and proper! Boxes were haphazardly packed, our SONY Plasma TV was damaged beyond repair, a lot of our furniture was scratched etc. See attached photos taken. There are to many to list all on the website. Jody agreed to compensate R3000-00 back (insult) as the total damages we suffered was close to R100000-00, and I am still waiting for the money to be deposited. He ignores my emails and I hope to cross his path one day to show Jody what real damage I can do to him. Please do not use this company at all, as I would like to see his company collapse as he destroys peoples hard earned goods. He has no balls to face me like a man and to even have the integrity to honour his verbal agreement of at least refunding the R3000-00. I cannot stand people like him and the wheel will turn oneday where he will face the consequences of the damages he does to peoples personal effects. He s just lucky that I am now so far rom his office as I would have confronted him in his office.
