So I was on my generator from Friday (3/2/18) until Tues (3/6/18) and when power went back on into my community...apparently my house had a huge power surge and burnt all my wires to the generator (almost caused fire). I have consulted a few electricians who say this is not common but can happen. Ultimately it was NYSEG who caused this strong power surge to home. Very very costly now to replace all wires to generator. Has anybody had experience with claims like this. Please let me know as I am putting a claim into Nyseg. I know there is a form I can sumit but am looking for people with similar experiences and outcomes.......... Please feel free to contact me.
