Customer support, defective product

I ordered a pair of light up Spider-Man sneakers for my grandson. The night they arrived, We tried them on him and the lights worked. The next day when we put them on him, the lights in the left shoe no longer worked. When I contacted customer service they stated that if I sent a video of the defective product, they would refund me or I could get a replacement. I did so. Next I got a text stating that I had to return the product to them in China for the replacement, but I would have to pay for the return myself. So much for customer service. They sent a defective product, but I have to pay for the return! User's recommendation: Never will I order from them again.
