Customer Service not available for Do Not Rent List

Update by user Jul 28, 2020 I spoke to customer service today and the rep told me that I was sent to collections. I followed up on this issue and called the collection department and emailed them with a copy of my credit card statement showing payment made to Avis for this rental back in February. I was put on the do not rent list for a rental I PAID for? How come I did not receive a letter from Avis to let me know this? I have rented cars from Avis 5 separate times since then. Original review posted by user Jul 26, 2020 This morning I arrived at Avis at the LAX to pick up my reserved car. I shockingly found out that I was placed on the Do Not Rent List! The Avis rep did not have any valuable explanation on why I would be on such a list except for me to call the number on the back of my Avis preferred card to find out. The rep on the phone gave me an email address and he too had nothing to say. I also wanted to make sure I received credit for the points I had used towards the rental and the rep said he does not handle that issue. Ridiculousness. According to Avis security policy, they are supposed to send a letter to a customer explaining why they are on the list and how to fix it. I have not received any kind of letter from Avis. I also want to add that I did ask to speak to a manager or supervisor while on the phone with the rep and his words were. "there is not a supervisor available".
