I have been a government employee paying insurance for over 10 years. Magellan is part of my insurance I am offered and the last three years I have taken advantage of the mental health coverage offered. I have never had an insurance company dictate how long or how often I should attend counseling. It is a process and takes many years to get to the core of childhood trauma. I find it disturbing that after continuous reviews and comments not a single person has reached out to me and asked how it has or has not been beneficial to my life. If they want their money they sure will reach out, and if they do not want to pay for sessions, they sure will make that known. Who are you people to tell me what I need and do not need based on what you want to cover or not cover. It is ridiculous.
