I am a Realtor here is the Houston area and I have had a Home Warranty through your company for several years. I also had one on rental property I had for several years. Last year I had a Dryer exhaust fan in the attic that was not working all the time. It was intermittent working on and off. You folks denied coverage and said those were not a covered item! Shortly there after my policy was up for renewal and I had a Doug Watson call me and want to sell me a new policy. I told him that I was looking into other companies because your company did not cover this item. He told me he was a supervisor and told me to hold and he wanted to check with another over him and he got back on the phone and told me to wait until April the 4 th and it would be covered. Since it worked sometimes I decided to wait and it finally just quit here recently. I called and spoke to Doug Watson and he told me that it was approved and quickly switched me to someone else. The guy I got on the phone first was difficult to understand so I asked to speak to a supervisor. The next guy was much nicer and easier to understand. Of course he told me because I made a claim on the same thing before it would not be covered! He offered me $100. toward the bill of $575.00. I already paid in the $75.00 for WillPower to come out to tell me what was wrong. Your employee Doug Watson was the one who told me hit WOULD be covered if I waited until April 4, 2021. Is this the policy of CHOICE HOME WARRANTY to sell a warranty and lie to get someone to buy it? I still expect my dryer exhaust fan to be covered!
