Contest entry signed me up for subscription without permission

1

Entered a contest recently to win a trip through Elle. Nowhere did it say anything about magazines until after I hit submit. Then it said something like "we are sending you a magazine for free no strings attached." Today I got an email saying I purchased a subscription to Country Living for $10 and so I owe them the payment. I never agreed to any purchase of any kind nor did I even agree to receive this magazine. This is a complete scam and it is disgusting for Elle & Country Living to illegally try to get money out of people. I will not be paying this and if I am sent a bill in the mail I will issue further complaints until this is resolved.
