WE HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE NC ATTORNEY GENERALS CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION AND OTHERS SHOULD AS WELL. THIS IS HOW CLASS ACTION SUITS START AND REAL ACTION OCCURS. THE MORE COMPLAINTS THEY GET THE MORE LIKELY THEY ARE TO START PROCEEDINGS AGAINST T-N-T CARPORTS. We purchased a 18ft wide, 41ft long, 12ft extra height, camper cover from TNT Carports 09/27/2017 that was not installed until 09/04/2018. Carports have different models and features for wind requirements, structural strength, snow load and certified or un-certified which have vastly different warranties. We purchased and paid the extra money for the certified, with anchors and extra braces for snow load. We were scheduled to get it installed months prior but they canceled our delivery 6 times, the day of the appointment, for various excuses; had a flat tire, truck was over weight and DOT pulled them, got held up the day before and can't come. We live in NC and were getting this installed in WV at our vacation home and the first 3 times they canceled we had taken time off work, driven 5 hours to be there for the install to make sure things went smoothly and pay the remaining balance. After the 3rd time they canceled we started getting a neighbor who is always there on standby for the delivery and installation. They finally came and installed it after another 3 canceled the day of appointments. We finally come up to WV a few months later and notice that braces are torn out of the legs they are attached to, these braces connect the legs and the roof, we have only 3 braces per side instead of the contracted 9 per side, there is not a single mobile home anchor but 5 per side are required to keep the carport from moving or even blowing over in high winds. They installed a structure that is not rated for the snow load of this area, is not installed with the certified braces or mobile home anchors and is unsafe even by WV standards. I first contacted Victoria in March and have contacted them via email or phone 23 times since then. I have been told we will get a technician out there to fix it and install the braces as soon as we can get you on "THE SCHEDULE" by Victoria 04/02 8:54AM. The same schedule that new installs wait months for even though I sent pictures and made it clear it was a safety hazard and at risk of blowing into another persons camper or RV. After numerous contacts again waiting to get on the schedule they told me until they have a FULL truck going that way they won't send anyone but I know people who have gotten new installed carports from them within 4 miles of my location in WV. They still have not gotten me scheduled after months. My final attempt to solve this issue was to ask them to just mail me the braces and the anchors and I would hire someone else that could get out there ASAP to do it. On 05/02 4:53PM Stephanie, the office manager I assume, got my address, we went over exactly what was suppose to ship, she said "We will ship these out today". Since then I have made an additional 5 contacts with Stephanie, Megan and Victoria and they have not shipped anything, will not return my calls and show no effort to repair my unsafe structure after months of attempts on my part and a original desire only to get what was safe for my family and neighbors. They have committed fraud, violated section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act 15 U.S.C § 45, violated N.C. GEN. STAT. § 75-1.1 Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices, breach of contract and specific performance of contract.
