I am an author. I paid $3, 000 upfront to THE JOSEY AGENCY (run by Samuel "Josey" Crews) for "publicity services" for my book. Prior to signing the contract, "Josey" Crews told me that I had "a gold mine, " that an interview with CNN was pending, that the Bill Maher Show was "very interested, " and that another dozen media placements were all possible for the book. The contract was for six months - and six months later, The Josey Agency had done NOTHING...absolutely ZERO. They simply TOOK MY MONEY, then REFUSED to return it. It was a classic textbook SCAM.
