I know we are under a tropical storm alert and i watched the news/weather from 12-1pm. To continue the broadcast on the weather was unnecessary. We watch TV for entertainment. If there are threats and/or alerts, interruption of programming is necessary. Just one man's opinion. User's recommendation: Show alerts in lower right corner.
