Complaint about Nissan Morning Side

I have recently purchased a Nissan Rogue at the Morningside location. I was sent a survey which I completed. At the time I completed the survey, I was not aware of the unscrupulous business conduct of the sales consultant, Akhtar Hossain. It was after my First biweekly payment was deducted that I found out. Originally, I was going to buy the Kicks based on the sales consultant persuasive suggestion. After much consideration, I decided against it because my desire was to drive a white Rogue. My adult son, my male friend and I went back to Nissan Morningside and met with Akhtar Hossain. On my first meeting with him, I told him of my financial constraint as a single mother and emphasized the importance of having a biweekly payment that I can afford. This was reiterated at the second meeting with him. After negotiations, Akhtar told us that if I pay a deposit of $2000 (which I did) my biweekly payment will be $168 and we agreed. However, $191.00 was deducted on my first payment. When I went to pick up the car, Akhtar had me signed a bunch of papers. He did not give me the opportunity to read through but kept pointing to the highlighted area I should sign or put my initial. I remember feeling a little uncomfortable so I said to him let me just at least look on the numbers so I can see what I’m signing for and he reassured me the papers were about the features of the vehicle. When I had initially went into agreement for the Kicks he gave me a sales agreement (yellow sheet of paper) that outlined the cost etc so this is why I took his word thinking that I would later receive the yellow paper to sign for the rogue as I did for the Kicks and also because I trusted him. I decided to examine the documents Akhtar gave me and to my chagrin, I discovered that the biweekly amount says $191, that I was charged $700 for tinting that I didn’t asked for and was led to believe it was free and $2200 for some added protection that I didn’t give consent to. It clearly stated on the kicks sales agreement that I declined any extended warranty etc. I never received a sales agreement for the Rogue prior to pick up. I have contacted management at Nissan Morningside via email regarding this matter and Gary Kingston, simply told me that I’m aware of what I signed for and happy driving. As a first time buyer and a female of a new car, I was taken advantage of by Akhtar Hossain. As a sales consultant, he should have provided full disclosure, given me the chance to read the documents and have integrity in making sure I get the biweekly amount we agreed to. Akhtar conduct contradicts Nissan fair business practice and transparency commitment. The management at that said location is either oblivious or is only interested in a means to an end. I’m asking for the $700 for the tinting, the $2200 for the enhance protection fees to be removed as I never gave consent. In addition, I am asking that I pay the amount as was told to me of $168 otherwise I’m unable to keep up with the payments. If this situation remains unresolved, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Bureau Business and OMVIC. Thanking you for looking into this for me. User's recommendation: Don't allow yourself to be rushed by sales consultant. Take the time to read agreement and look out for charges that you didn't give consent to. Nissan charge for even the mats that comes with the car. These information are not disclosed and therefore you don't have any choice or say in the matter.
