I was shocked at the poor nursing quality, lack of communication and neglect of my mother. She was there less than 18 hours and I was able to get additional help to continue keeping her at home. The physician ordered a medication for her that was contraindicated with her cardiac medications and he had never seen her, read her chart or was in the building but when I got her discharge going he rushed over to do a history and physical (required) and I would not let him as I had already rescinded the order. The place is 30 years old and looks it, is not clean, and no direct view for staff on hall as angle of the rooms is so deep one cannot even see the foot of the beds. Lighting is poor. The pictures show pretty homelike bedrooms - anything but...depressing dungeons. BEWARE! Also - high staff turn over at that location. Facility was half-empty - now we know why.
