Company Discriminated Against Me

1

I have been a regular client of Haircuttery at the location at Pinellas Plaza in The Villages FL. I attended the location today to get a haircut and was refused service because I wasn't wearing a mask. I advised the manager Stephanie that i wasn't able to wear a mask due to medical reasons and if they refused me service they would be discriminating against me. Stephanie stated that because they were a private business they didn't have to comply with the anti-discrimination laws and could refuse me service regardless. I asked to speak to Corporate but she spoke to them directly and i believe someone at Corporate told her to still refuse me service. I asked for the number for corporate and Stephanie refused to provide it to me. Stephanie and the other hairdressers started yelling at me to leave the premises and kept escalating. I am puzzled that a business would think that they are above the law because they are a private business. Contravening the anti-discrimination laws is an serious violation whether you are a private business or a government business.
