Coffee cafetière issue

We have 3 cafetière coffee makers.one large and 2 small. Our newest small one has a silicone filter mechanism over against the metal coil and ring on the others.The coffee grains are coming up the side if the wall between the silicone.We bought this one in Sept 2020. Can you offer a resolution for this problem? Thanks James.
