We have had the Costco Citi card for a couple of years. We opened another credit card for the sole purpose of doing a balance transfer and taking advantage of the low APR for the transfer. The bank that sent the balance transfer check mistakenly cancelled the check. We continued to make the monthly payments on this account. The balance transfer check was re-issued and applied to the Citi account 10 days later. I received a notice in the mail that our card has been closed and no access any longer. When I called, they refused to speak to me and kept saying I needed my husband on the phone because he was the "primary" card holder. We both applied for this card as an applicant & co-applicant, the full balance is on my credit report. My husband called back and they refuse to re-open the card. So my account got closed because of an EXTRA check that had mistakenly gotten cancelled? We had never been late on a payment before. I will never use a Cit card again and I will make sure to let everyone know how they treat people.
