Class Schedule

2

This company is big on pushing classes without giving all the details. My biggest complaint is that you find there are hidden fees if you decide from going from an Audit Student to one that would like to receive full university credit. That should be openly stipulated that it will cost more to take university credit classes. Secondly, I was sold three classes as a bundle in order to acquire a discount. I was told that I could take classes together or one by one. I could take Greek and Hebrew at the same time. So, I wrote the eteacher group about my next start date, which should have occurred on the week of December 7th. Furthermore, they emailed me stating that I needed to put myself on the December schedule. I then spoke to a representative (name unknown) who indicated that I could start my December class on Monday evenings, which works for me due to my job. NO CALL, NO EMAIL, I found out by accident that I had been disenrolled from the December class and placed in NO CLASS. I sent an email and received a call within a week to tell me that the class was full therefore I could not take the class. I asked, How was I disenrolled and the class is now full, but no one called me or emailed me to give me notice or a reason. Tammy, the supervisor Representative stated a that they would put me in another class and that classes could only hold 16 people and 20 were signed up. I then indicated to her that I was not placed in a full class and wondered how all of a sudden the class was full. I asked to be placed in class based on when I registered and the last person registered to be told they had to find another date/time. I then received a call back from Tammy to tell me that they had a policy that did not allow you to take two classes together. I then questioned that comment, because I was told that I could take Greek and Hebrew together. She then told me that your Hebrew A Class ends at the end of December and will cross over Hebrew B Class and it is against our policy to allow that type of cross over. I AM JUST HEARING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. She then tried to inform me that I could take the class in January or February or anytime I desired, but I COULD NOT TAKE THE HEBREW B CLASS IN DECEMBER. I could not drop out of the last 4 classes in December to join the HEBREW B Class. LET ME MAKE SURE I make myself clear. I AM NOT TAKING CLASSES FOR UNIVERSITY CREDIT. NO HOMEWORK OR TESTS TO TAKE. Why do they care when I take the class or cross over another same language class? IT IS NOT THEIR MONEY and I am not walking away with college credit. I am so over it, and I am disappointed in my treatment. If you decide to take classes with the company, BE CAREFUL. You are not told everything up front, every representative obviously does not know school policy, and ALTHOUGH THEY JUST WANT YOUR CASH. They do not treat you appropriately. DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE, because you have no leverage ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY. User's recommendation: Be careful and do not buy advance classes from this company.
