Why can’t they send out an E-Gift card?

I ordered a $50 E-Gift card on 10/5. They said at order time I would get it on 10/6. On 10/7 I emailed customer service to ask about my order since I hadn’t received it. I received a response that it was still being processed, and they would email me once they emailed the e-card. On 10/8 I asked again for a status. At that time, customer service said they were sorry I had not been helped and they would send my query to another team. They asked that I allow 2 days for a response. On 10/10, after hearing nothing, I emailed customer service and asked for my e-card or a refund. I have not heard anything so today, 10/11, I asked again for a status and I have heard nothing. Why is it so hard to email an e-card? It was not hard for them to take my money. And why can’t they update me on their progress on this problem?
